Is online therapy effective?
Any form of therapy is as effective as the therapeutic bond which is formed between the therapist and client. Online therapy is no different. By using high quality, simple to use, video conferencing software, you’ll feel as though we are in the same room together. While it can initially take some getting used to if you have been in face-to-face therapy previously, in my experience, it offers lasting and meaningful results to clients.
How do I know I am in good hands with you?
I am a licenced and fully accredited member of IAHIP. I have also trained to a high standard through the psychotherapy training I received. I have a vast range of experience working in various mental-health settings. I am also committed to my own professional and personal development as a therapist.

How do you work as a therapist?
I practice body-centered psychotherapy, working in a humanistic and integrative way. I will work with you on a physical, mental, emotional and spiritual level. I use a non-prescriptive approach by drawing from a broad range of therapeutic tools to help you on your journey. I see my role as helping you to reconnect with your own inner-wisdom and wholeness so that you can realise your full potential in life.
What is body-centered psychotherapy?
Body-centered psychotherapy seeks to integrate a client’s physical body into the therapy process. It views the body as a resource for self-discovery and healing and can help client’s access old memories and emotions. Body-centered psychotherapy uses the body experience in the here and now to bridge the gap between the body and mind.
How many sessions will I need?
Considering the Covid-19 outbreak, I’m concentrating much of my work on helping to resource and support clients who are suffering from anxiety and panic attacks in these challenging times. Using this focused approach, my commitment to you is that we meet for as few sessions as possible and at the same time, as many as it takes to ensure you feel well-enough to manage your day-to-day life. This is likely to be 6 sessions or less. Of course, with more complex challenges such as bereavement, loss, and the effects of self-isolation etc, I’m offering a more open-ended approach. There is no one size fits all solution to psychotherapy, and so I will be responding to your individual needs.
What types of clients do you work with?
I see adults from all walks of life, all ages, backgrounds and sexual orientations for individual therapy, couples therapy and EMDR.
What is the cost per session?

What can we expect from couples therapy?
Sessions are 60 minutes long. We meet via a three-way video-conference call on Zoom. The 1st session is an assessment where I gather background information from you and your partner. The 2nd and 3rd sessions I’ll meet with each of you individually to understand your relationship histories. Starting the 4th session, we’ll meet back together again to deliver a treatment plan and begin our work together.
It sounds like it could be helpful, but a little scary, too.
It’s quite normal for couples to feel nervous when first attending couples therapy. I actually find that most couples let go of any nervousness or fear within the first few minutes of our meeting. I stay attuned to each person’s needs and work at a pace that’s right for you.
Won’t couples therapy just makes things worse?
Nobody likes to talk about their problems, or the things that feel painful, so couples sometimes believe that therapy will just make things worse. But the fact remains that the difficulties you face are not going to just go away by themselves. If you commit to couples therapy, your problems can all be addressed in a safe and neutral setting. It’s not easy and clients can indeed feel worse in the early stages, but it really is better than suffering in silence and is also usually very successful.
We’ve been struggling for so long, what’s the point?
It’s totally understandable that you may be tired, cynical, and unhappy. However, I offer a skill-based and scientifically-driven series of interventions that have had excellent success rates where other models of couplestherapy have failed. With your commitment and my support, it is possible to rediscover happiness and intimacy in your relationship.
